i could have used about 20 more minutes of touring and negative minutes of charades.
that kitchen snug room is a place i’d never leave. in fact you might find me in the middle of the night, standing there, staring at the wall of dishes.

it’s another round of which would you choose?
today it’s pools.
i’ve never had a pool. growing up my neighbors had an above ground pool that the youngest daughter (my closest friend in the hood) would invite only certain kids over some days and other kids on other days. there were days when i wasn’t invited and i had to watch other kids swimming in the pool from my living room. just now realizing as i type this how cruel that was.
ugh. sorry. i’m ok.
so, if you have a pool do you love it? did you inherit it? do you hate having a pool? is it the pool of your dreams? if you don’t have a pool, which of these would you choose? the only rule is you can’t change anything this time. you get everything that pool comes with. house, planters, grass etc.

raise your hand if you’re going to a wedding this summer. (ok fall for me but early fall so…global warming says it will be 400 degrees still)
experience has taught me to buy something that i can and WILL wear again. i always like to keep it fairly simple with a little extra kick by way of accessories. experience has also taught me to wear a sensible heel. how many women do you see at weddings with their shoes off on the dance floor? super gross. (also i’m guilty so no judgement.)
there are a lot of options out there (too many) and at every single price point. i narrowed down my faves that i would 100% wear to the event and beyond. also, if you are on a under 100 type budget i got you. if you want something that’s exceptional quality that you can wear again? i got you too.
this cute little broderie sundress by jcrew is affordable ($120), sensible and easy with just the right amount of special. perfect for an outdoor wedding day or evening. pair it with a sparkly mule and a statement earring. and wear it pretty much anywhere else after that with white sneaks.
this snake print crepe de chine from reformation says I’M FUN! it looks hella comfy and sexy which gets a standing ovation from me. i’d keep things super simple with a low bun or pony, minimal jewlery and the shoe shown. perfect.
this is head to toe perfection. the earrings, the shoes (not sensible) and the bag. the dress is navy and comes in 7 colors. i personally like the navy. you would wear this for years to come. classic french lolita vibes.
this says i’m here to party. and dance. i’d pair this dress with these low heeled lilac strappy sandals.
i could not love this more. you have to see the back. i’d need some heavy duty duct tape but i’d be willing to risk a little sag for this pretty frock. love her hair. i’d definitely go for the sexy, tousled look. also POCKETS.
this pretty budget friendly dress is wedding guest personified. completely perfect for a summer wedding outdoors. pair it with an over the top earring.
which one would you choose?
happy memorial day and the unofficial beginning of summer!
i’m doing a WHOLE WEEK of posts dedicated to summer.
today it’s the summer house.
that surely means different things for different people.
a tiny cottage behind your home that you sit in when the weather is nice. or maybe it’s a place you go to every summer on the beach or a lake. or maybe it’s just making your house feel more like summer by pulling up the rugs, switching out the bedding and pillows, or a fresh new coat of paint.
whatever, it’s a mewd…
