so many thoughts
what’s it like to have that much money?
so. much. stuff. (not in a bad way, in an oddly perfect way)
the details are the secret.
i really REALLY love the all whitewashed room.
this kind of subdued palette is beautiful but i’d get bored pretty quick. that said, i would LOVE visiting this house possibly every single day.
i’ll bet it smells like a fancy home store. it looks like a fancy home store.
really into the moodboard situation and all the little details. very inspiring.
the whole place is really beautiful. just, so. many. thoughts.
yours?
summer list
hi. just some things on my summer list.
i find this skirt casual enough for errands and attractive enough for cocktails.
playa new day mist - “a fine mist that works to calm unruly strands and reset your style—without water or hot tools.” i have never enjoyed dry shampoo. the smell is usually too intense for me and the finish makes my thin hair feel like a dusty old weave. have heard good things about this mist. i have their ritual hair oil and it’s v. nice.
rebecca taylor white eyelet dress- this dress is more than i think i would pay for a little white dress. probably bc i would wear it to death and ruin it. but i LOOOOOVE it.
lake pajamas beach wave dress- THIS is what i’m talkin’ about. i would never ever ever ever ever ever take this off. only to wash it and put on another one. this is truly the only thing you can wear in this heat. it’s like comfort food for your body. speaking of, another thing i would wear to death and spill spag sauce on. i need 5. good thing it’s on sale. and comes in seafoam green. lots of good deals right now at lake pajamas.
a sweet little jcrew dress for $100. see #1.
faithfull the brand continues to impress me with their cute options at normal prices. the smocking is so heart eyes emoji on this dress.
this leopard-ish print dress is $45 and made of t-shirt fabric. byeeee.
this new serum blush by em cosmetics is NUMBER ONE on my make up wishlist. it’s a serum blush!! no sparkle. totally buildable. tutorials tell us that it’s best to apply it BEFORE foundation and blend it out for that color from within look.
send hopper immediately
we are currently in a washer and dryer upside down.
we have been on hold with sears for approximately 42 days.
first of all don’t ever buy anything from sears unless you are walking into a store (are they even still around? would it be like the underground of starcourt mall in hawkins? seriously, are russians behind sears?) and purchasing it there, loading it into your car and driving it home your damn self.
and don’t expect anyone to install it for you unless you’re prepared to wait til christmas of next year for that to happen.
for real, we bought a w&d june 6th. JUNE SIXTH. it’s july 23rd. HOW in 2019 USA is that even possible?!
ugh.
i’ve been pinning around pinterest for good looking laundry rooms like they’re porn.
finally got around to adding one of these little banner things. you can click and shop like it’s 2019 USA.
friday things
have you ordered your FREE squad goals sticker? get on that ya big dummy. can’t wait for mine to arrive.
look at this pretty wallpaper from wayfair of all places. comes in 9 colors and it’s removable.
i don’t even know where to begin! honestly haven’t been this excited about a food in so long. only the french would take a basic bread and turn it on it’s head and into something fabulous. gascon sourdough cornbread. i want fall. i want soup. and i want this.
speaking of fall. fully feeling this hat. dreaming of pairing it with this dress for a september wedding in new york.
i will see the shit out of this. absolutely here for it.
and finally i would be a bad blogger if i didn’t talk about the nordstrom anniversary sale. which is now officially open to the rest of us non cardholding ding dongs.
here are my picks:
this diffuser. i don’t even burn candles much anymore. the clean smells of essential oils feel much more me now. people comment when they walk in the house y’all. “what’s that awesome smell?” usually i diffuse lavender, orange, rosemary, cedarwood and frankincense. that combo is heaven. this one seems nice too.
this cool down mattress pad. could it help with hot flashes?
this very pretty comforter and sham situation.
and this facial toning kit which i have heard nothing but good things about.
ok then. c ya later.
just great
chances are you have seen this farmhouse pinned 9 ways til sunday (do i have that right? or is it 9 gays at a sunday brunch?) you don’t have to answer. anyway…i’m not sure i’d have called this a farmhouse. but what do i know? i’m not the farmhouse expert despite my best efforts. looks like a little gothic cottage to me. again, i’m basically just the peanut gallery. i digress.
no matter it’s architectural style or provenance it’s just great.
i love that it’s painted head to toe deep blackish green.
it’s lived in and designed by architects tsao and mckown and i wouldn’t change a thing.
there’s a certain zen farm camp-ness to it. it’s very commune meets thomas o’brien. did i nail that? thoughts?
