when the paint arrived i was so fucking excited. christmas morning aged 13 excited. it’s from a company called charvin and it’s sublime. i’m setting out today to make sets of bowls which will be available to purchase soon.

other things of note…

nigel slater’s newest vegetarian/vegan winter recipes all sound delicious. except maybe that loaf thing.

rachel ashwell’s home tour is a big fat yes for me dawg. #shabbystrong

i caved and bought this foundation. it’s honestly amazing. i have been looking for a matte foundation with a dewy finish forEVer. i marvel at the glow and how it completely sets onto my face in equal measure.

in addition to the bowls i will be working on some irises for prints! how exciting!!

happy monday. i sincerely hope everyone is mentally hanging in there. you know how they say it gets worse before it gets better? just a few more weeks. we’ll get through this. hopefully no more unscathed than we already are.

anyway….just wanted to let y’all know that i will be listing a batch of irises (8 or so) tomorrow and this will be the last iris release for a while. so if you’ve had your heart set on one please don’t hesitate to snatch it up!

i just love this hydrangea wallpaper. it’s a floral. it’s a stripe. it’s peel and stick.

i took the bull by the horns and ordered this bed desk yesterday. because bed is where i spend a lot of time. there’s a drawer!

who wouldn’t want to live and work in a characterful apartment overlooking bondi beach?

this is a real treat to look at. i am here for his art taped to the wall and when i get a minute i am doing the shit out it. i have so much of it and i complain all the time about not having space to store it. punching myself for not thinking of it sooner.

good day to you. i hope your holidays were a restful and reflective time, peppered with lots of joy. but above all i hope you come back to life renewed and inspired. i am inspired and fired up. i took a sharp turn at the corner of sadness and terror on dec. 27th or so and decided i needed to just work. work work work. and so that’s what i have been doing. on new year’s eve i made this spectacularly large painting and tho i am still tweaking it here and there i love it! it is just pure intuitive mark making. what a joy.

i also made some irises. also pure joy. i plan on making many more of these as soon as the sun comes out. much rain has limited the light in my house.

what else? let’s see…..

who’s watching sanditon? bridgerton? i am finding sanditon much more agreeable. it’s filling the downton sized hole in my heart.

i made this the other day and it was absolutely delicious. i used lacinato kale instead of savoy bc it wasn’t available. but it’s definitely a keeper. also didn’t have mi-cuit tomatoes bc i don’t know what the fuck they are. still delicious. (savoy cabbage i meant to say)
