hay look at this living room

hay design is having a living room sale and i figured i’d play around with a few of my favorites of theirs with some vintage pieces from my other favorite (overpriced) place to shop, chairish. plus a few other bits found around the webs.


every now and again a wallpaper comes along that i can’t get out of my head. this one from lake august is it. formerly this one. but i could sincerely go on and on and on.

still hoping to come across mario torres wicker anything on facebook or craigslist one day. the lamps are my favorite. these have brass beaks!!

i love the mags low sectional from hay. comes in all the good fabric choices (including a fantastic looking blush), has the look and feel of wool but is made from recycled polyester which makes it easier to clean.

pretty into this vintage pierre cardin rug.

i have professed my love for these vases plenty. i want them all.

just an all around easy, go with anything coffee table.

the matin table lamp (another long time fave) on sale and in lavender.

this tray side table comes in the best colors.

this cocktail chair from the inside comes in hundreds (literally) of fabric choices. this one is port cabana stripe.

this art deco-ish bar cabinet is just cool.

love the narrowness and height of this bookshelf.

also for sale and worth considering are this sofa in the flamiber fabric line, j4 dark blue, this rug in powder (which appears to be a much more appealing shade of soft coral in the styled photos), this table, and this low bookshelf,

3 easy (EASY) summer outfits

when i say easy, i mean easy.

in fact you may have some or all of this in your closet already.

even better? you can mix and match all the live long day.

truth- if you don’t have these versatile items you are sleeping on the most uncomplicated winning looks.

row 1 - white on white (or cream on white) is so summery. i love this white t shirt. and this one is a recent purchase and it hangs nicely. switch the jeans out for a lightweight pant or shorts. just keep it white. i could get down with these brown platform mules but these are great too. any brown sandal or mule will work here. so will white. so will sneakers.

row 2 - a bodysuit does a body good. i have this one and it’s rull comfy. paired with a high waisted, loose-ish jeans and an ankle crop is my fave. you could do no wrong with a mule here. flat or heel.

row 3 - ladylike white blouses are everywhere these days. throw a rock. i love this one from doen with the big collar. excellent with jorts and these ridiculously expensive row sport sandals. what sets these apart for me in the good good way is the black bottom/white straps. these will do tho.


i think you could easily switch all three of these looks up effortlessly.



tile options at home depot

as you can imagine because of our bathroom situation i’ve been looking at tiles tiles and more tiles. i’ve seen some things at home depot that i will never un-see but mixed in with the horrors were some pretty legit tile options.

some of these would make excellent mudroom, sunroom, entry or kitchen floors. i love a matte off-white subway tile. and a glossy, wet-looking black subway tile.
