“We planted dozens of trees, especially olives, and we now produce our own olive oil,” says Corsini di San Giuliano, who believes the fundamental goal of gardening is to create vast and varied ways to get people to relate to the outdoors. The attractions include orchards, a vegetable patch, open fields for ball games, a table for painting and many seating areas, including one in front of a large outdoor fireplace. Dotting the landscape are resin sculptures — a giraffe, a panther and a flamingo — from a long-ago Ferragamo Christmas window display.
