nyfw part 2

more checked menswear, bright satin, white shoes, contrasting pastels, statement sleeves, belted waists, suiting, and sometimes all of the above on one person. i get it. it's fashion week.

especially loving the checked blazers layered over a slip dress with a kitten heel boot. but basically checked blazer anything.

the oversized dresses in saturated colors.

oversized denim jackets. though i think this is a look best left to tall skinny models. i'd look like roseanne c. 1992.

summery dresses over jeans.

big, blouse-y menswear tops paired with a flared pant.

but still not underestimating the power of all black everything. especially when some of it is black leather.

also happy to see over the knee boots are still fashionable. because i love mine. and while all signs point to no i still wear mine with denim shorts. fuck everyone.

but if i had a money tree i'd throw it at these boots here

nyfw lewks i would totally wear (mostly totally)

i have to say i am usually pretty underwhelmed by new york fashion week. particularly week 1. maybe it was because the weather there was cooler than it usually is so there was room to show off additional layers. or to wear upcoming fall trends. because i can't see another off the shoulder ruffle-y blouse (even though i'm kind of obsessed with pandora's silky lavender version below with those pants (skirt?) and shoes). in any case i REALLY like a lot i saw. noticed lots of ice cream colors and delicious combinations of them. denim on denim which works for me bc it's easy and i have a lot of it. loving the puffy sleeved sweaters, prince of wales check anything, belted jackets and coats and leopard on leopard on leopard!
