CFW

copenhagen fashion week happened. didn’t even know. covid is a dirty dirty whore. anyway, i’ve been pouring through street style shots all weekend. i know fashion feels like the least important thing right now, because FASCISM, but it’s a hopeful distraction for some of us.

so what were the danes serving up? laid back vibes of course, in varying approaches- lots of monochromatic looks, from all black or all white to all pink etc, LOTS of color blocking which IMO is the easiest way to pull together something stylish. there was also a fair amount of two toned looks. for eksempel: one black shoe and the other the same but white. or a pair of shorts, one leg black, the other white. i can’t say i hate it but i does feel like an uber trend. i’d still fuck with it. still happening are voluminous dresses and sport sandals. which is very very perfect for the swamp temps of august.

that nordstrom sale thing

as an influencer (please hear the air quotes in my voice) i get alerts about this sale and that i must pimp it if i want to make the commissions. and lord knows i need the commissions but GODDAMN nordstom has some ugly shit. if i had a nickel for every ugly thing on the nordstrom website i’d have FORTYBILLIONDOLLARS.

nevertheless, every year i do the cherry picking for you through a sea of waterfall collar cardigans and tory burch logos only to find the best items are down to size xxxxs and xxxxl. if you are one of those sizes, well…ENJOY YOUR LIMITLESS SHOPPING.

curious who out there even has a nordstrom card. please let a bitch know.

if so here are a few things i found:

this jumbo bottle of kiehl’s creme de corps. it’s half off and winter skin is coming. these plaid flannel sheets. or these organic cotton sateen sheets. i’d snag the white but am into the navy too. maybe? or just a new set of pillowcases for 19 bucks. for sure this candle set. duh.

i’ll keep looking and sharing. that’s what influencers do.

hay look at this living room

hay design is having a living room sale and i figured i’d play around with a few of my favorites of theirs with some vintage pieces from my other favorite (overpriced) place to shop, chairish. plus a few other bits found around the webs.

every now and again a wallpaper comes along that i can’t get out of my head. this one from lake august is it. formerly this one. but i could sincerely go on and on and on.

still hoping to come across mario torres wicker anything on facebook or craigslist one day. the lamps are my favorite. these have brass beaks!!

i love the mags low sectional from hay. comes in all the good fabric choices (including a fantastic looking blush), has the look and feel of wool but is made from recycled polyester which makes it easier to clean.

pretty into this vintage pierre cardin rug.

i have professed my love for these vases plenty. i want them all.

just an all around easy, go with anything coffee table.

the matin table lamp (another long time fave) on sale and in lavender.

this tray side table comes in the best colors.

this cocktail chair from the inside comes in hundreds (literally) of fabric choices. this one is port cabana stripe.

this art deco-ish bar cabinet is just cool.

love the narrowness and height of this bookshelf.

also for sale and worth considering are this sofa in the flamiber fabric line, j4 dark blue, this rug in powder (which appears to be a much more appealing shade of soft coral in the styled photos), this table, and this low bookshelf,
