winter fits

i miss street style. i was just scrolling through my winter outfits pinterest board for a little inspiration (super hard to come by these days).

i was drawn to these pretty basic and very neutral offerings-

i’d reckon you have a lot of this in your closet already. a great coat and boots of all shapes and sizes are what appear to elevate the most basic of lewks. this isn’t news, i know.

here are a few things i found to get us all there…

vegan sherpa lined coat - this is so damn good. a coat like this will detract from anything less than great on any given day (my eye bags).

knee high boots with lug sole - the coolest winter boot. stomp on everyone. these too.

oversized alpaca sweater - you know the person who buys one in every color? i am that person. i have seen these sweaters up into the 500 dollar range and i cannot. everlane is GREAT at clothes and the prices are so reasonable. every single thing i have ever bought from everlane is still in heavy rotation and in great shape. needless to say- i want one in every color.

oversized long teddy coat- sadly this color is no longer available. but i do like this gray one too. oh, but there is a short version in the teddy color, if that’s more your speed.

jeans are essential. i like these and these.

sweetheart sweater bodysuit - one in black too for sure.

favorite daughter pants - if i could pick one thing on this list it would be these pants. and if i could find the black ones anywhere i’d get those too.

a sweatshirt + sweatpants with a cool pair of boots and a long coat makes a huge difference.

combat boots - these will forever be my favorite.

tall boots - and these are in my cart.

friday things

oooh hi. how’s january? is yours a dry one? lol. not me. i omicrant be bothered.

here are some things-

it’s warm in australia (actually i think it’s pretty fucking hot) and anna spiro’s house on a hill overlooking the ocean is perfect. don’t you hate when you see an all white space and want to paint everything white? me too.

all the colors of the wind. new maui bowls and….

new tahitian bowls and…

and new sazerac bowls are a salve for the winter blues. yas?

look how good my client magdalena’s collection of bowls looks in her dining area!

i see these on people and am always moved to get some for myself. but i don’t. but i want to.

i think about this wallpaper a lot.

this suzani draped over a sofa in a room with similar colored walls and a fire.

that is all.

bowls here.

have a cozy weekend.

little and cute

hello! how was christmas? how is kwanzaa going? raise your hand if you have omicron. we’ve dodged it so far but the night is young, yes? i suppose now is as good a time as any to tell you to get that booster if you haven’t.

what else is new?

alison roman’s prime rib was completely perfect and beyond easy making christmas lunch the least stressful it’s ever been. also made a giant pan of yorkshire pudding that was maybe even easier and no less delicious. i served those with a salad that felt christmasy- just soft lettuce with pomegranate seeds and cut up mandarin oranges, walnuts and a shallot/mustard vinaigrette made with the juice of the mandarin.

i’ve been watching a lot of tv at night and have a few recommendations- if you haven’t seen don’t look up on netflix it’s worth the watch.

and completely out of left field is doctor foster. also on netflix. a friend told me to watch it and i asked no questions and just did what she told me. i am now being that friend to you.

another one i can’t stop is servant. kinda scary, kinda not. the house alone is worth watching for.

now on to the show-

funsize bowls!!

38 little cuties that would be great on a shelf or grouped together on the wall or just one as the perfect addition to that gallery wall that needs a small colorful something to make the whole thing be great. each one is made to go with the other, in other words you could close your eyes and blindly add 2 or 4 or 5 or 12 or 24 to your cart and the combinations will work.

they are 6 x 6, hand cut and suh cute.

get ‘em here.
