here's an idea...
a magazine (heads up newell) needs to hire me to do a column where i fashion one moodboard in big money and then replicate it in real money.
and they pay me with money.
and then i spend that money on real cute lamps and shit.
and then a lion comes out and sings 'the circle of life'.
you would be way into that column wouldn't you?
if you have no idea who michelle armas is you have been living inside your butt.
she is an amazing artist who can paint real real good.
so when she emailed me today to tell me that she named this painting....

nicole over at sketch 42 posted some awesome images and it reminded me of how much i want a fur throw...
and we all know how expensive these things can be..
or cheap looking..
so i thought what if i went and got a bunch of vintage fur coats and had them sewn together?
i am sure depending on where you go you can find great deals on these things.
i figure about 10 coats.

i now realize that the sectional is partly to blame here..
the room obviously has 2 large entries.
and itself is rather a large room.
so i feel we need two separate sitting areas.
so..move the sectional + coffee table down to where the fireplace is, on top
of the rug.
use the bookshelf area as another sitting area with the 2 louis armchairs.
put a shiny round table between the two chairs,
then get a sexy day bed a la my oly jonathan bench and set it in between the sectional sitting area and the library sitting area.
take this awesome but ill placed chair:
and set it in the sectional sitting area..on the other side of the coffee table.
and then have a sandwich in the dining room:
this is fun.
yes...but..
assuming there is another sofa we are sitting on right now..
move everything about 3 feet toward the fireplace, table on top of rug.
move the louis armchairs together on the other side of the table.
move the purple tufted deliciousness directly in front of the fireplace and move the white leather pouf between the 2 chairs. or to my house.
done.
also yes..but..
move the furry ottoman in front of my leather boyfriend.
move the arm chairs on either side of the ottoman, facing each other.
remove sticks in a vase immediately.
also call the photographer and tell him he forgot to take is light.
super metallic round cocktail table to the left of the sofa, filled with books and pretty shit.
little leather poufs in front of ottoman and fireplace. they can be moved around as needed.
done.
sort of.
i would also take that mirror somewhere else and in it's place put a waterfall type console filled with gorgeous things and lamps.
perhaps the little leather poufs could go under it until they are needed.
