sharing some things

well hello. i sure hope everyone is doing well. i am currently on day 200 of a mental breakdown. it’s too much to get into and frankly i wouldn’t even want to. yuck. who wants that? i’d rather spend this time showing you some things i have saved that i think are decent if not great.

look at this togo knock off. it’s on amazon and the reviews are pretty good. it’s not cheap but it’s not togo prices. comes in an array of colors.

this lamp is just fine. very trendy. whether you need 1 to light up a desk or 2 for the bedsides i say yes. it’s under $30 and for that price you can be wrong.

this lamp is cute too. all of the scandi vibes. also cheap. you could upgrade the shade with something here.

a set of 12 frames in various sizes for under $50. you can buy 12 bowls from me (currently on sale here) and stick them in these. i’d get the 11 x 14 and float them on top of the mat that comes with. grab a little artist’s tape (doesn’t rip the paper) and plop it on the back to keep it in place.

at this price you could buy a few in different colors. slip dresses are my favorite because they are so versatile.

spring sambas. these are men’s so get your sizing right. i’m a 7.5 men’s/8.5 women’s.

k bye.

ding dong merrily on high

i sing this one line on repeat just because it’s so dumb. know what else is dumb? christmas. just kidding. i think christmas is whatever you want it to be. just like life i guess. drive your own christmas bus. are you driving to sad town or are you driving to happy town? the build up is kinda fun. but like most things the actual experience doesn’t live up to the hype. anyway, i’ve decided to do the least this year. that puts me somewhere in apathetic town. i’m ok with it. it feels better than stress panic and heart palpitations. i’ve stayed away from christmas movies bc watching one feels derivative. with the exception of meet me in st. louis. oh and i did watch the family stone back in late november (that felt preparatory not celebratory) and boy does that movie suck massive, merrily on high ding dong. that said when DK signs to her gay son about how “normal” and wonderful he is i do cry like a baby. and the house and craig t. nelson are underrated delights. but SJP is the worst. enough to make me actually hate the movie. as if luke wilson would ever.

apart from that i have a cute tree with lots of colored lights, greenery on my shelves, oranges in a bowl and that’s as much as i can muster. owning that feels like a win.

i have a few things under the tree for fiona, wish i could add a few more but i’m trying to replace things with dates. (activities not the fruit) like watching things together, going to look at pretty houses decked out for christmas, impromptu kitchen kpop concerts. she’ll remember those more than things.

how about you? need a little christmas inspiration? have you seen skye mcalpine’s venetian home? check out the full spread here.

but definitely watch this first-

you know the whole place smells like baked goods and santa maria novella pomegranates.

need a last minute gift but you can’t afford much or can’t go anywhere but the grocery store? these candied pecans have gone viral.

have you seen the uniqlo and marni colab? i’ll take one of everything.

and finally, do you need help figuring out which type of jeans you should be wearing now and not wearing now? and which type of bootie you need to ditch? (it’s the little black bootie with an almond shaped toe. i know! i’m sorry.) then you need to be following charly goss. just trust me.

that’s all from me. i hope you have a peaceful and restorative holiday. i’ll catch you back here in the new year.

p.s. thanks for being here. :)
